Fire Point says the first development stage of its Freyja missile defense system is complete and mass production of the FP-7X interceptor could begin in August once Diehl Defence infrared seekers arrive. The company has conducted at least five missile tests and aims for its first successful ballistic target intercept by mid-2027. Fire Point expects each interceptor to cost no more than €1 million.

Ukrainian drones struck Syzran in Samara Oblast, where locals reported at least three impacts on the plant's AVT unit and oil tanks, with a large fire continuing afterward. In Krasnodar Krai, authorities said falling drone debris sparked a fire at the Ilsky refinery, injuring five people. Syzran is more than 800 km from the Ukrainian border.
