One missile deviated from its trajectory and struck a vehicle storage warehouse of the 1461st Motor Rifle Regiment in Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk region. President Zelensky said Russia used an energy truce to stockpile missiles and strike Ukraine during extreme cold with a record number of ballistic missiles. Energy Minister Shmyhal said Russia shelled CHP and thermal power plants that were operating only to heat residential areas in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipro. He said the targets were purely civilian, leaving hundreds of thousands of families without heat in minus 25 C cold.
