Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery in Russia’s Orenburg region overnight on August 11. A fire was recorded at the facility, while the extent of damage is still being assessed. The refinery can process around 6 million tonnes of oil annually and produces gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen and other petroleum products.
