Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed that Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat refining complex in Bashkortostan overnight on August 13. A fire was recorded at the facility, around 1,300 km from Ukraine’s border. The complex can process up to 10 million tonnes of hydrocarbons annually and produces gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, bitumen, polyethylene and other petroleum products and polymers.
